About the event
From May 29-31, 2026 the Rappahannock River Yacht Club in Irvington, Virginia will host the Cape Dory Typhoon Nationals. There will be a Championship Fleet for the seasoned club racer and a Corinthian Fleet for those who wish to participate in a slightly less competitive environment. You can indicate which fleet you prefer when you register.
We will kick off the weekend on Friday evening, May 29 with crew check in and barbeque social. There will be a mandatory skipper’s briefing on Saturday morning followed by a day of racing. An attempt will be made to complete as many races as conditions and time permit. Saturday’s races will be followed with a dinner social at the club.
